Commencing on Tuesday, October 14 and concluding on December 16, this complimentary program will feature ten sessions at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center. The City Council of Estepona, in collaboration with the Horizonte-Proyecto Hombre organization, will kick off the fifteenth edition of the ‘Family School’ initiative on Tuesday, October 14. This program, overseen by the Youth delegation, targets parents, caregivers, and educators keen on addressing common challenges in the growth and development of young individuals. The curriculum, consisting of 10 informative sessions, will take place weekly from October 14 to December 16, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, running from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Led by professionals specialized in prevention from the Horizonte-Proyecto Hombre association, these interactive and tailored sessions aim to assist families in navigating their children’s emotional well-being and behavioral challenges. Topics covered will equip participants with strategies to tackle issues related to family dynamics, communication, conflict resolution, self-esteem, social aptitude, and emotional intelligence. The inaugural session, scheduled for October 14, will delve into effective approaches to addressing children’s problems or obstacles. Subsequent sessions will focus on managing emotional stress, enforcing family rules, enhancing communication within the family unit, resolving conflicts, bolstering self-esteem and social skills, and nurturing emotional intelligence. The program will also address guidelines for parental intervention during adolescence, fostering healthy online habits, and understanding the impact of drugs on the body.
