The Estepona City Council has announced that the presentation of ‘Breaking My Days’ by Estepona’s own literature professor and writer, Abel Gavira, will take place on Friday, June 6, at 18:00 in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall at Casa de Las Tejerinas. ‘Breaking My Days’ is a collaborative novel featuring a diverse cast of characters grappling with loss and its aftermath following the suicide of a central figure connecting them all. Despite its challenging narrative, the story also offers moments of beauty and hope amidst the turmoil. The multitude of characters in the story experience a range of emotions, transitioning from coldness to warmth, guilt to retribution, and madness to despair. Ultimately, it is a profound and honest tale that delves into social critique while exploring the complexities of human emotions. Admission is free until full capacity is reached. Abel Gavira, born in La LĂnea in 1979, studied in his hometown and later pursued higher education in Valencia. He returned to Andalusia in 2005 to teach Language and Literature, currently at IES Mediterráneo since 2008. Gavira has previously released a collection of short stories in various publications and an unconventional novel titled ‘And Then She Crossed the Line,’ addressing the topic of drug trafficking from a unique perspective. ‘Breaking My Days’ marks his first officially published novel.
