The completion of the coastal corridor in Estepona is progressing, with 95% of the path already finished, connecting over 21 kilometers of coastline. The City Council is now focused on finalizing the remaining sections to fully establish this important infrastructure. The upcoming bidding process will soon open for the area between Guadalmina Baja and Casasola, where the necessary project and permits are already in place. The construction of a paved path is planned to ensure safe and accessible transit along the coast, promoting the preservation of the public domain. Mayor José María García Urbano highlights the significance of this sustainable urban development project, which has transformed the coastal area into a new tourist attraction. The initiative, started in 2011, aims to create a pedestrian corridor along Estepona’s entire coastline, with significant progress already made. Wooden bridges have been installed to facilitate passage over rivers and streams, enhancing previously isolated spaces for the enjoyment of citizens.
