In the Plenary Hall, Maria Aguilar, the councilor of the Social Services and Social Integration delegation, welcomed the 16 students who completed the latest edition of the free workshops in Gardening, Electricity, Plumbing, and Masonry, and also greeted the participants of the first call for 2025. The City Council continues its annual training of nearly fifty young people in these professions, which are highly sought after in today’s job market. The success of these workshops among local companies has been emphasized, as they increasingly hire the well-prepared young individuals who have completed the training. The initiative also provides insertion opportunities for young people between 16 and 24 years old who are not in training cycles or are unemployed. The workshops, held three times a year for three months each, offer 250 hours of theoretical and practical training. Students gain practical experience in municipal services companies, learning to solve real-life problems in their profession. They also engage in social work and receive guidance on job search, drug prevention, and occupational hazards. Those interested can obtain applications at the Social Services delegation on 31 San Lorenzo Avenue and submit them at the City Hall Entrance Registry.
