This year’s budget will include 7.7 million euros from the surplus achieved in 2024 for neighborhood remodeling, velodrome construction, a new asphalting plan, and the incorporation of private parking lots into the municipal network. The budget for activities at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center has also been increased by 650,000 euros. The City Council aims to enhance the cultural programming at the Mirador, which has become a prominent cultural facility attracting major events. The investment budget will be used for infrastructure remodeling, neighborhood improvements, and major actions in squares and urban areas. Other planned projects include the construction of a velodrome, a new river path, and the rescue of private parking lots. The Regulatory Ordinance of the Municipal Public Registry of Applicants for Subsidized Housing has been amended to give preference to residents of Estepona with administrative residence of 3 years or more when applying for VPO.
