The show featuring Oscar Wilde’s play will be held on the upcoming Friday, June 13, at 7:00 pm. The Estepona City Council has announced that the amateur theater group Arteatro 13 will showcase the renowned work ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde next Friday, June 13. Directed by Beatriz Chacón, the performance will star actors Diego Navarro, Jerónimo Mora, Francisco José Rodríguez, Julia Jiménez, Yolanda Jiménez, Ana Recio Martínez, Caterina Pailhez and Marta Mora. After premiering in Manilva in February and performing in Malaga last weekend, the play is now coming to Estepona. ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’, written in 1895, is a well-known comedy by Wilde that focuses on language wit and nonsense, exploring themes such as marriage and respectability. The story follows two men, Jack and Algernon, as they navigate a web of deceit to add excitement to their lives. Tickets for the performance on Friday, June 13, are priced at 10 euros and can be purchased at the lottery administration 1X2 or at the box office an hour before the show. Arteatro 13 is a theatrical group that emerged from the cultural association of the same name in 2023, dedicated to organizing cultural events like the ‘Amateur Theater Contest Mantea’. Despite being relatively new, the members of Arteatro 13 have extensive experience in theater and are committed to delivering an entertaining performance.
