The Estepona City Council has announced that on Thursday, December 11, at 8:00 pm, the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center will host the presentation of ‘Melted to black’, the latest novel by local writer Julio Peces Ruiz, recipient of the XXX Ateneo Joven de Sevilla Award. The event will be led by Isabel López Franco, head of the Unicorn Cultural Association, and entrance will be free until seating is full. Copies of the novel are already available in all bookshops and will be available for purchase at the event, where the author will also be signing copies. ‘Melted to black’ (published by Editorial Almuzara) follows the story of Ramón Ramírez, an actor determined to carry out the perfect crime while shooting a TV series. As the meticulously planned murder unfolds, secrets are revealed, and the boundaries between reality and fiction blur. Julio Peces Ruiz, born in Estepona in 1992, has been captivated by cinema and literature from a young age. Having written adventure novels in his teens, he continues to explore various genres in his works, including crime fiction and books on cinema. His diverse interests also extend to acting and the study of Japanese language and culture.
