CAB Team to Promote Estepona Brand in Elite Spanish Basketball League

The presentation of the new kit for the CAB Estepona senior team took place today, showcasing the ‘Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol’ brand. The event also included details about the upcoming Vive Cup scheduled for this weekend in the city, from 5 to 7 September. Estepona Mayor José María García Urbano, Club Amigos del Baloncesto’s vice president Sebastián González, and ‘Vive’ textile brand CEO Juan Pedro Parra unveiled the new kit for the team’s debut in the prestigious LF Endesa league, the top tier of Spanish basketball. Mayor García Urbano expressed pride in having CAB players represent Estepona nationwide, especially now that the team has earned a spot in the Endesa Women’s League. He emphasized the City Council’s support for the team and its commitment to sports development. The mayor encouraged the players and coaching staff to continue their hard work, praising them for making history as the first Malaga team to reach the pinnacle of Spanish basketball. He announced plans to allocate funds in the 2026 municipal budget to further support the Estepona team. Additionally, the ‘Copa Vive’ tournament, featuring CAB Estepona, Lointek Guernika Bizkaia, and Royal Castors Braine, will take place in Estepona this weekend. Sebastian Gonzalez and Juan Pedro Parra highlighted the competitive nature of the tournament, with the Estepona team facing off against the current League and Cup champions, as well as Eurocup contenders.
