The author will reveal her latest introspective work, where she unveils the soul ‘in the flesh’ by shedding superficial layers. Carmen Sanchez Melgar will showcase ‘The floating voices’, her eighth poetry collection published by ImagenTa, at the Library of Contemporary Cultures in Mirador del Carmen. The event will take place at 20.00 hours and admission is free until full capacity. In the epilogue, the author describes the verses in this book as a reflection exercise that delves into hidden roots, personal echoes, deciphering language, and making sense of the floating voices. The book features six parts where letters and verses intertwine to narrate life stories. This publication adds to the author’s two-decade literary career, which includes collaborations in anthologies and literary magazines. Carmen Sánchez Melgar, also known for her narrative works, has received awards such as Ateneo de Manilva 2017 for her writing career. ‘The floating voices’ will be presented on February 27 at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center in Estepona, with Juan Gaitan as the event host.
