Estepona City Council has been assured by the Patronato Provincial de Recaudación de Málaga that steps are being taken to rectify a mistake in the collection of IBI, garbage, and vehicle payments for April. A computer glitch resulted in the failure to apply the usual discounts offered by the City Council to assist residents with these payments. This error has affected other municipalities in the province as well. The Provincial Tax Collection Agency, responsible for managing taxes in Estepona and other areas, advises citizens not to take any action at this time. A resolution will be implemented in the coming days without the need for individuals to file claims.
