The spectacle is scheduled for Friday, September 5th, at 9:00 p.m., at the Plaza del Reloj, and entrance is free. The Estepona City Council announces the arrival of pianist Diego Valdivia and his grand piano fusion show ‘Aromas del Sur’ on Friday, September 5th, at 21:00 pm, at the Plaza del Reloj. Alongside the musician and composer from Algeciras, the artistic cast includes guitarist and music producer Daniel Valenzuela, percussionist Yolanda Pozo, and dancers Mario de los Santos and Judit de la Rosa, who will add energy and passion to the performance. Valdivia will present a repertoire that combines his original compositions with renditions of classics like ‘Leyenda del Tiempo’ or ‘Entre Dos Aguas’ by Paco de Lucía, among others. With a career featuring over 500 concerts in recent years, Diego Valdivia has made a mark on international stages, including the Antalya International Piano Festival in Turkey and the Spring Culture of Bahrain. Valdivia’s musical journey began at the age of 5 when he received a small Casio keyboard as a Christmas gift, sparking his passion for music. By the age of 9, he was studying at the Conservatorio de Grado Medio Paco de Lucía in Algeciras, and by 12, he was composing and performing his own music. Despite earning a degree in Civil Engineering at 23, Valdivia continues to pursue both music (during evenings and weekends) and engineering (on weekdays). Recognized with the Novia del Sol prize for Culture in Algeciras in 2021, Valdivia was later appointed as Ambassador of the Campo de Gibraltar region in 2022. His unique blend of piano with Andalusian influences has garnered him acclaim in the music world, with his rendition of the Game of Thrones theme selected as the top version in the world during a competition in London.
