The Library of Contemporary Cultures in the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center will host a series of activities this fall, including workshops, conferences, book presentations, and recitals. Registration for these events is free of charge until full capacity is reached by emailing bcc@estepona.es. The newly renovated Terraza Street has become a prominent cultural center, showcasing works by contemporary artists like Coco Dávez and Manuel León with international acclaim. Estepona City Council has revealed the cultural program for the last quarter of 2025, featuring renowned figures such as Elvira Lindo, Pedro Mairal, Ángelo Néstore, Manuel León, Abraham Boba, and Jordi Moltó from the show ‘El Hormiguero’. Alejandro Simon, head of the Library of Contemporary Cultures, highlighted the diverse and engaging program designed to connect with a wide audience and establish the library as a vibrant cultural hub in the city. The activities kick off in October with events such as a flamenco dance workshop, Manuel León’s outdoor exhibition ‘La procesión va por dentro’, and a screening of ‘The Consul of Sodom’. The month also includes literary presentations, workshops, and the awarding of the V International Poetry Prize Ciudad de Estepona. Exciting highlights in November include a tribute to Rainer Werner Fassbinder and a celebration of the Library’s first anniversary with Elvira Lindo and a concert by Alondra Bentley. All events are free, but registration is required. The Library of Contemporary Cultures has quickly become a pivotal cultural space, attracting leading figures and offering a platform for critical thinking, interdisciplinary creation, and free cultural access. The Estepona City Council is already planning future cycles, children’s programs, and the Estepona Literary Festival (FLEST) to continue fostering cultural exchange and creativity.
