A ‘Brigade of Neighborhoods’ has been established by Estepona City Council to improve the upkeep of residential and commercial areas. Consisting of 10 workers, this brigade will be deployed to different neighborhoods upon completion of each area. The deputy mayor of Services and External Control, Blas Ruzafa, stated that the brigade will focus on tasks such as masonry, painting, road signs, electricity, plumbing, gardening, barrier removal, and paving. Additional workers from municipal services will be assigned to the ‘Neighborhood Brigade’ based on the specific requirements of each area in the city center and outskirts. Initial interventions in Blas Infante and Picasso neighborhoods will be completed in September before the brigade moves to a new area for further improvements. Ruzafa confirmed that the ‘Brigade of Neighborhoods’ will operate continuously throughout the city to benefit all neighborhoods. Residents can report maintenance issues through the municipal Green Line service via the website or mobile app, ensuring prompt responses and updates on issue resolution.
