The local government is planning to enhance twenty streets and squares near the Park-Orquidario, a dozen roads in Tres Banderas, and the streets Conejera, Valencia, Formentera, and Cabrera. The goal is to rejuvenate these areas through pavement renovation, landscaping, infrastructure upgrades, and new street furniture. Estepona City Council is actively working on a comprehensive neighborhood remodeling plan that will cover almost fifty streets and squares in the municipality. The call for project proposals has attracted 12 submissions from interested companies, with the most cost-effective option set to be chosen. The plan includes interventions in three main areas, focusing on improving various streets and squares around key locations like the Botanical-Orquidario Park and Andalusia Avenue. The proposed works involve updating pavement, infrastructure, landscaping, and street furniture to modernize these areas that were developed over three decades ago. The budget for drafting the project is set at 234,300 euros, with a four-month deadline for submissions. The next phase will involve tendering the construction works. Another project targets the Tres Banderas area, encompassing over a dozen streets and squares for renovation. The budget for technical services is 133,100 euros, with a three-month submission window. The final project focuses on the streets Valencia, Formentera, Cabrera, and Conejera, aiming to revitalize an estimated area of 8,111 square meters. The budget for this contract is also 133,100 euros, with a three-month submission deadline. The overall objective of these interventions is to modernize and transform outdated areas to align with the city’s ongoing urban improvement efforts. The plan includes upgrading pavements, furniture, signage, and vegetation to create more attractive and accessible spaces.
