The festive activities will kick off on November 28 with the illumination of the Christmas decorations and will conclude on January 5 with the traditional Three Kings Parade starting from City Hall. A Christmas Park featuring various attractions for children and families will bring joy to the festivities in the area surrounding the Felipe VI Theater. The Estepona City Council has unveiled a lineup of cultural, celebratory, and leisure activities planned to mark the Christmas season. Councilor Macarena Diánez, responsible for Culture and Festivals, highlighted the numerous events scheduled for both young and old to enjoy, with most of them being free and taking place at various locations, cultural venues, streets, and squares throughout Estepona. The program includes concerts, nativity scene competitions, musical performances, ballet, flamenco zambombas, children’s parties, charitable events, food festivals, and the traditional New Year’s concert, culminating in the grand Three Kings Parade. Festivities will commence on November 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Plaza Antonia Guerrero with the official lighting of the Christmas decorations. The event will feature performances by the Estepona Pastorals ‘Nostalgia Christmas’ and ‘Jesus Captive’, as well as a musical performance by Julia Fernandez-Llebrez, the youth winner of the Estepona CREA’24 Contest. One of the highlights this year will be the Christmas Park, a special attraction during the holiday season. It will offer an ice rink, Santa’s house, carousel, bumper cars, ice slide, inflatable castles, and a food area, occupying the entire outdoor space at the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium. The Christmas Park will be open from November 29 to January 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (opening at 11:00 a.m. on December 25 and January 1, and closed on December 24 and 31). Upcoming shows include the Great Acrobatic Circus of China on November 28, K-Pop Warriors on November 29, and ‘The Island of Maui: Tribute to Vaiana’ on November 30. December will feature performances such as the Musical of the 80s and 90s on the 5th, Ballet ‘The Nutcracker’ on the 7th, and ‘A Doll’s House’ by Ibsen on the 12th. ‘Tadeo Jones. La Tabla Esmeralda’ will be showcased on the 14th, followed by a new Christmas show by ‘Los Cantores de Híspalis’ on the 19th, featuring Natalia Calceteiro. The year will close with a double performance of Cantajuego ‘The Adventures of Coco and Pepe’ on December 28. Other anticipated musical events at the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium include the special Christmas concert by the Municipal Band on December 13, the XXIV Christmas Proclamation by Macarena Arroyo Marín, and more. The Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses will host the First Fair Outlet Factory Brands from December 5 to 7, offering fashion items at discounted prices, with 50% of ticket proceeds benefiting the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Estepona. The program also includes a School Musical Meeting, Circus Bravo Aqua show, cultural journalism workshop, book presentations, and more cultural events at venues like Mirador del Carmen and Padre Manuel Cultural Center. Christmas celebrations will extend to neighborhoods like Cancelada, New Atalaya, and others, featuring events like Christmas Zambombas, school snacks for the elderly, contests, and more. The holiday season will culminate with the Feast of the Three Kings, starting on January 3 with letter deliveries to the Royal Postman and concluding on January 5 with a children’s party and the Grand Cavalcade of the Magi.
