The Italian Culture Day in Estepona is set to take place on May 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. along España Avenue, near the La Peseta monument, as part of the ‘Sharing Cultures’ initiative. Deputy mayor Begoña Ortiz and event coordinator Simona Sorrenti introduced the event, highlighting its focus on promoting integration and participation of foreign residents, showcasing their unique cultures and traditions. The festivities will feature stands offering authentic Italian food, wines, crafts, fashion, and a diverse cultural program with performances to engage visitors. Children will also have a dedicated games area to enjoy. A storytelling session for children, featuring popular Italian tales like Pinocchio, will be held on May 29 at the Library of Contemporary Cultures, enriching the program this year. Estepona, with 135 different nationalities and 1,490 Italian residents, aims to strengthen bonds with its diverse community through such events, celebrating the rich heritage of its foreign population. The event on May 31 will include various performances by local Italian artists, starting with a ‘Pasta la vista’ toast followed by musical acts and cultural showcases, providing a vibrant tribute to Italian culture.
