Estepona Town Hall announced that the municipality has received recognition in the renowned ‘Andalucía en Flor’ contest, praising the exceptional quality, beauty, and maintenance of its gardens, parks, and green spaces, as well as its sustainable management practices. The awards, presented by AMJA, aim to advocate for the professional, social, and economic interests of the sector. The jury specifically highlighted Estepona’s well-preserved green areas in the historic center, parks, and newly developed green spaces, emphasizing the municipality’s blend of tradition, innovation, and environmental consciousness. Deputy Mayor Blas Ruzafa emphasized the meticulous planning and technical work that has gone into creating sustainable and aesthetically pleasing green spaces that reflect Estepona’s identity. The contest also recognized the municipality’s commitment to sustainable gardening practices, including the use of reclaimed water for irrigation in new landscaping projects. Additionally, Estepona has been chosen as a key destination in the ‘Grand Tour of Andalusia in Bloom’ 2025, showcasing the region’s most distinctive green areas. Visitors are encouraged to explore Estepona’s historic center, with its charming streets and squares adorned with traditional architecture and tasteful plant arrangements. Ruzafa highlighted that this recognition solidifies Estepona’s reputation as a leader in urban gardening, landscape quality, and sustainable tourism, reinforcing the ongoing efforts to enhance public spaces for residents and tourists.
