Estepona has been chosen by the Andalusian Basketball Federation to host a high-level basketball tournament this weekend. The Women’s Andalusia Cup Viajes Azul Marino 2025 will feature three teams: CAB Estepona, Unicaja, and CB Sevilla. The Polideportivo Cubierto de La Lobilla will be the venue for the tournament, marking the end of CAB Estepona’s preseason before the LF Endesa starts on October 4. The tournament will see the two LF Challenge teams, CB Sevilla Femenino and Unicaja SD, compete in a semifinal to earn the title of the top Andalusian women’s basketball team. The event will take place on September 20 and 21, a week before the official CFL season begins. The aim is for CAB Estepona to become the most decorated team in Andalusia. The tournament was presented at the Malaga headquarters of Grand Azul Marino, with representatives from various sports organizations emphasizing the importance of supporting women’s sports.
