The final competition is designed for students aged 11 to 14 and will kick off on Friday, November 21, starting at 09:00, with the participation of 13 educational institutions. Estepona City Council has announced that the IV Final Orienteering Race School Games 2025 will be held at the Fair, Sports and Leisure on Friday. The event will commence at 9:00 am and will run throughout the morning. Participants will be tasked with locating beacons using a map provided at the beginning, aiming to complete the course in the quickest time possible. Each student will wear electronic bracelets to track their progress at each beacon, ultimately determining their final time. Previous editions of this competition have been well-received by students and teachers, offering a unique and engaging experience. This final event targets students from 13 schools in Estepona, including 11 schools and 2 institutes, who are part of the ‘Orientation in the Cole’ program and the School Games Estepona initiative. Organized by the 24 Hours Sports Foundation in collaboration with various entities such as the Andalusian Federation of Orienteering Sports, FADO, the Orienteering Club of Malaga, COMA, and the Provincial Council of Malaga, this innovative activity allows schools and institutes in Estepona to incorporate orienteering into their Physical Education curriculum through the provision of orientation maps. The participating institutions include IES Mar de Alborán and Monterroso, as well as CEIP Antonio Machado, García Lorca, Isdabe del Mar, Ntra. Sra. del Carmen, María Espinosa, Ramón García, Sierra Bermeja, Simón Fernández, Valeriano López, and Víctor de la Serna, along with Colegio Juan XXIII.
