From July 10 to 30, the Casa de Las Tejerinas will showcase an exhibition of watercolors by the talented artist Rafael Ochando. The collection, featuring 38 medium and large format works, predominantly landscapes, can be viewed in Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas on Plaza de las Flores. Visitors can enjoy the exhibit from Tuesday to Friday, 09:00-20:00, and Saturdays from 09:00-14:00 and 16:00-20:00, with free entry. Born in Algeciras 73 years ago, Rafael Ochando Ruíz discovered his passion for painting at a young age. Despite pursuing a career in a Clinical Analysis Laboratory, his love for art never waned. Inspired by an exhibition at the Gaudi Awards, Ochando delved into watercolor painting, teaching himself the craft through trial and error. His dedication has led to solo exhibitions in Algeciras and regular participation in group shows at El Cortijo de Guadacorte. Despite life’s demands, Ochando paints daily, unable to imagine a day without the challenge of mastering watercolor.
