From August 28 to September 17, the Casa de Las Tejerinas will showcase an exhibition of glass paintings by the talented artist Ana María Luque Rojas from Manilva. Titled ‘The tree of life’, this collection features 20 intricate glass paintings that symbolize a period of profound change and transformation in the artist’s life. Through her works, Ana María explores ancient stories and hidden secrets related to the essence of life, emphasizing the power of belief in creating and manifesting reality. Using glass as her medium, she conveys both fragility and the mesmerizing effects of light passing through the texture. The artist’s use of recycled materials also conveys a message of valuing and transforming discarded items into objects of beauty and art. The exhibition is open for visitors until September 17, with free access on weekdays and Saturdays. Ana María Luque Rojas, a self-taught artist born in Manilva in 1970, has honed her skills in various artistic techniques over the years, including pastel, acrylic, oil, restoration, decoration, illustration, and glass painting. Her works, characterized by vibrant colors and transparency, are mostly created using recycled materials, reflecting her commitment to sustainability and resourcefulness. Through her art, Ana María shares her daily experiences and spiritual insights, incorporating themes of cabalism and astrology into her creations.
