From October 30 to November 12, the public can enjoy a display of watercolor paintings by architect and watercolorist Jorge Maccario at Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas in Plaza de las Flores. The exhibition features 33 works and is open for visitors on Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, with free admission. Born in Argentina in 1955, Jorge Alberto Maccario studied at the Carlos Morel School of Fine Arts in Quilmes during his childhood and later graduated in Architecture from UNLP in 1982. After working in Argentina until 2001, he moved to Spain, where he currently resides. Known for his passion for painting watercolors, Maccario has showcased his works at various exhibitions, including ESPACIOTRES in Malaga in 2013, a dedicated exhibition on Las Meninas at the College of Doctors of Malaga in 2019, and another exhibition in 2022 featuring three small 20×20 paintings. Some of his notable pieces include ‘Reflections in the pond’, ‘Orange trees’, ‘Cemetery of elephants’, ‘Stranded’, ‘Water lilies’, ‘Port of Malaga’, ‘Las Meninas to assemble’, and ‘Heras and Zeus’.
