Situated in the Fair and Sports Park, the new calisthenics area being constructed in front of the climbing wall of the Parque Ferial y Deportivo is part of the Estepona City Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance the availability of free sports facilities in the city. This initiative, along with the recently inaugurated circuit in the Angel Park, represents some of the most comprehensive facilities for calisthenics in Andalusia. High-quality materials such as galvanized steel and stainless steel are being used to ensure durability and strength suitable for outdoor use. The City Council has invested 90,000 euros in the development of these two new sports areas. The new calisthenics area at the fairgrounds covers an approximate area of 400 square meters, providing space for various physical exercises using body weight. The equipment being installed includes a range of elements such as abdominal benches, parallel bars, Pole Dance bar, Monkey bars, and more. These new areas complement the existing facilities on La Rada beach, Plazoleta Ortiz, Los Maniseros viewpoint, and other locations as part of the municipal plan to promote sports among residents. In addition to the calisthenics areas, there are around thirty bio-healthy circuits installed in different parts of the municipality, offering opportunities for outdoor exercise and physical activity. The City Council remains committed to expanding sports facilities, organizing events, and encouraging residents to engage in diverse sporting activities.
