A redevelopment and improvement project for Mirador, Marqués del Duero, and Montemayor streets is in the works in Cancelada. The Estepona City Council is set to undertake this important intervention in phases to enhance accessibility and modernize infrastructure. The projects for the three streets are ready, with works to be contracted soon. The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to upgrade urban roads in Estepona, making them more user-friendly and efficient. The remodeling will address specific needs of each street, followed by reorganization of pedestrian and traffic areas. Alongside new paving, upgrades will include revamping supply, drainage, rainwater, and lighting systems, as well as connections to adjacent streets. Phased programming aims to prevent overlapping works, starting with sidewalk enhancements on Mirador Avenue, followed by Marqués del Duero and Montemayor streets. Works will be contracted jointly but sequentially to ensure completion and certification before moving to the next phase, enabling smooth passage and service. The initial budget for all phases is 3.4 million euros, subject to competitive offers during the bidding process. Projected timelines estimate 4 months for phase 1 and 8 months for subsequent phases.
