Throughout the year, the Agriculture operational brigade works on maintaining rural roads, with a focus on preventing forest fires. Last year, they cleared 269 kilometers of roads and intervened in 13 kilometers of riverbeds and streams. The tasks include cleaning ditches, esplanades, and road surfaces, as well as conditioning municipal plots. This preventive work aims to reduce fire risks and ensure road safety. Additionally, the brigade acts on private plots that pose fire hazards. The City Council’s efforts also extend to clearing streams and riverbeds in urban areas, respecting the biological cycle of local fauna during nesting seasons. The brigade is equipped with trucks, machines, and tools for efficient maintenance work. It’s crucial for the public to cooperate by not littering these areas and protecting the environment.
