Estepona Town Hall, as part of the program ‘Estepona lives its streets in autumn’, has unveiled a new open-air exhibition on Terraza Street featuring the work of the renowned artist Manuel Leon from Seville. Known as one of the leading figures in contemporary painting in the country, Leon has a rich history of exhibitions in various museums and contemporary art galleries worldwide. His exhibition ‘The procession goes inside’, on display at Terraza Street until February 10 next year, offers a glimpse into his artistic journey, portraying painting as a tool for reflection and questioning reality. Each of the 17 works on display combines humor, comic elements, and a touch of Andalusian baroque narrative, reflecting the artist’s unique style and perspective. The exhibition also includes a special piece, ‘STOP, parada y fonda’, a self-portrait waiting to be discovered by visitors. Manuel León collaborates with prestigious galleries like Yusto & Giner (Madrid-Marbella), Rarity Gallery (Greece), and Verduyn Gallery (Belgium), while also engaging in interdisciplinary projects with various artists and performers. His work has garnered admiration from both national and international audiences, including renowned footballer Sergio Ramos, who owns several of his pieces.
