The Estepona City Council has announced that the XIII Urban Race 10 KM Estepona will now take place on Sunday, May 3. Registration can be completed online at www.dorsalchip.es starting from 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 12. In-person registrations are also accepted at Uniformes Estepona. This event, organized by the Consistory in collaboration with the Athletics Club Estepona, is considered one of the most popular sporting events in Andalusia due to its unique route and the lively atmosphere it creates among participants. A key change in this edition is the earlier date on May 3, which will feature Junior Races and the Absolute Race with 5k and 10k distances, starting and finishing at the Municipal Athletics Stadium. The charity aspect of the race remains strong, with proceeds from the children’s race benefiting the Alejandro Navarro Deportista Association. Participants are also encouraged to donate 1 kilo of non-perishable food to the Social Dining Room of Estepona, Emaus. Registration fees vary for different races and can be made online or in person at Uniformes Estepona. Bib numbers can be collected on May 2 and May 3 at the Plaza de la Fuente of the Estepona Athletics Stadium. The event will conclude with the distribution of trophies, medals, and gifts from 11:30 a.m. onwards.
