Upcoming Performance of ‘The Passion, Estepona Edition’ by the Friends of the Passion Association

Scheduled for Saturday, April 19, the enactment of the Passion of Christ will commence at 6:00 p.m. from Plaza San Francisco and culminate at the Botanical Orchid Park. Estepona City Council has announced that the ‘Friends of the Passion’ Association will present the Passion of Christ on the aforementioned date, guided by Luque, with Miguel López Ramírez and Miguel Ángel López serving as assistant directors. Since 2014, this representation of the Passion of Christ has been a tradition in the old town streets, involving around a hundred individuals including amateur actors and technicians. The performance will kick off at 18:00 at Plaza San Francisco, adjacent to the Church of Los Remedios, depicting the Last Supper, and will progress through Blas Ortega street before concluding around 20:00 at the Botanical Orchid Park with the Crucifixion. The route includes Plaza San Francisco (Last Supper), C/ Blas Ortega, Plaza Manuel Alcántara (Oración del Huerto), C/ Caravaca, Plaza del Reloj (Palacio de Caifás), Plaza Blas Infante, C/ Viento, C/ Castillo (Palacio de Pilatos y Palacio de Herodes), C/ Santa Ana, C/ Real (Primera Caída), C/ Terraza (Segunda y Tercera Caídas), and Parque Botánico Orquidario (Crucifixión).
