A total of 18 participants, ranging from the Under 8 to the Master category, represented the Municipal School of Athletics at the event. The Estepona City Council announced that the school achieved great success last Saturday at the initial competition of the XXXIII Provincial Athletics Circuit 2025, which took place in Marbella in the Track Meet discipline. Athletes from all categories in the province of Malaga participated in the event. The Estepona group, consisting of 18 athletes, performed well overall and secured medals in various categories. Some of the notable achievements include Leo Fernández Lara’s third place in the U8 long jump, Natalia Guerrero Núñez’s second place in U10 speed, and Valentina Sommariva Platero’s first place in U14 speed. The competition featured events such as the 60-meter speed race for all categories, long jump up to U14, weight categories starting from U16, and various distance races for different age groups. Apart from Marbella, Velez Malaga, and Nerja, Estepona will serve as one of the four venues for the Provincial Athletics Circuit 2025 in the Track Meet discipline.
