Mayor José María García Urbano highlighted the common interest of Brno and Estepona in creating green areas and revitalizing public spaces through culture and sports. Today, representatives from the City Council of Brno visited Estepona for an institutional visit. Throughout the day, various working groups will discuss initiatives such as green space creation, cycling promotion, nursery school management, and water cycle. They will also explore the role of culture and sports in city revitalization. The visit includes a guided tour of Avenida España, the future boulevard, the old town, and the Botanical Park-Orchidarium. The alderman emphasized Brno’s environmental preservation efforts and historical commitment to education, with over thirty faculties and 90,000 university students annually. Plans are in place for an institutional visit to Brno by Estepona authorities to further strengthen ties between the two cities. Deputy mayor René Cerný expressed gratitude for the warm reception in Estepona, noting the long-standing relations between Spain and the Czech Republic.
