More than 300 students from six schools in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of ESO participated in the final of the ‘IV Children’s Athletics Tournament 2025’ in Estepona. The event took place at the Municipal Athletics Stadium on April 10, organized by the Estepona City Council in collaboration with the Athletics Club of Estepona and local secondary schools. The winners of the tournament were Monterroso and Professor Tomás Hormigo High Schools (Group A, 1st and 2nd year of ESO) and Mar de Alborán and Mediterráneo High Schools (Group B, 3rd year of ESO) for male and female categories, respectively. The competition included races such as Speed (80/100 m) and Endurance (600/800 m), as well as Long Jump, Shot Put (3/4 kg for male, 3 kg for female), and Relays (4×80/100 m). Medals were awarded to the top three participants in each category and trophies were given to the top three schools in each category.
