Registration period for the competition ‘Burning of San Juan’s Mustaches’ now open

The opportunity to register for the ‘Quemas’ contest is available until June 13 at the City Council’s General Register. The burning event will take place on Monday, June 23, at La Rada Beach, starting at 00:00 hours, marking the beginning of the Night of San Juan. The Estepona City Council has announced that registrations for the XLV edition of the ‘Burning of San Juan’s Mustaches’ contest will be accepted until June 13. The event is scheduled to be held on June 23 at La Rada Beach. Interested participants, including individuals and organizations, can submit their designs for the Burning at the municipal delegation of Festivals or via email at fiestas@estepona.es. Registrations can be completed at the Town Hall’s Register of Entry from May 12 to June 13, 2025. The Burns submitted for the contest will be displayed within the designated area at La Rada Beach. The theme and size of the Burns are left to the participants’ discretion. Designs that infringe upon others’ rights or are disrespectful will be disqualified. Prizes for the best Burns include cash awards and trophies. The jury, consisting of appointed members and participants, will evaluate the Burns based on various criteria such as theme, artistic quality, and originality. The burning of the contest entries will take place at the start of the Night of San Juan at 00:00 hours. The City Council reserves the right to feature exceptional Burns in future municipal events.
