The Municipality Introduces a New Service for Family Support in Estepona

A service offering guardianship and custody for children aged 6 to 16 has been launched by Estepona City Council, supported by the Junta de Andalucía’s ‘Plan Corresponsables’. Families facing challenges in balancing work and family life can now enroll at the Training Academy ECOS Group until all spots are taken. The program, funded by the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, aims to provide a safe and enriching environment for children outside of school hours. Operating from May 19 to September 15, with possible extensions, the service will offer homework assistance and recreational activities on weekdays. Maria Aguilar, councilor for Social Services and Social Integration, emphasized the positive impact of the program in helping families reconcile their responsibilities.
