A week-long free camp targeting children and teenagers aged 9 to 17 is being organized. The Estepona City Council has announced that registration is now open for the Digital Summer Camp, designed to equip young individuals with digital skills. Running from June 23 to September 5, each session will accommodate a maximum of 15 students. Participants will learn about safe and responsible internet usage, as well as how to utilize digital tools creatively. The camp, which includes a DigComp certificate, is a collaborative effort between the Consistory and the Fundación CiberVoluntarios, offering 12 teaching hours. Tailored content and activities will be provided at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center’s computer room, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Different age groups will focus on various skills, such as information searching, distinguishing fake news, responsible technology use, cyberbullying prevention, employability enhancement, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, participants will receive guidance on screen time management, privacy protection, social media etiquette, effective information filtering, and cyberbullying prevention. Limited spots are available, with registration accessible at https://campamentodigital.org/
