The indoor swimming pool will be situated on municipal land in the Camino de las Mesas sector, bordered by PaĆses Bajos, Francia, and Avenida Puerta del Mar. The development will include various sports facilities, such as racquet sports areas, along with parking and outdoor landscaping. Echevarri Sports, the successful bidder, will pay an annual fee to the City Council, with registered residents receiving a discount on facility rates. The project specifications include a heated pool, a children’s pool, and a grandstand for 200 spectators. An agreement will be made with the Estepona Swimming Club for facility access. Additionally, the complex will feature racquet courts, bathrooms, changing rooms, offices, and service areas, as well as a parking lot for 50 vehicles. The landscaping will consist of trees providing shade and requiring low maintenance. The design will comply with the Regulations on Sports and Leisure Facilities, with a focus on energy efficiency. The bidder will be responsible for financing, operation, maintenance, and eventual handover of the facilities to the City Council at the end of the 50-year concession.
