The call for applications for the selective tests will remain open until July 7. Estepona City Council has announced a new public employment offer for nine positions in the Local Police Headquarters, as part of the 2025 public employment offer. The bases of the call were published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and previously in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) to comply with regulations. The call includes 8 career civil servant positions through free turn access and opposition selection, and 1 position through the mobility system without promotion. Candidates have 20 working days from June 10 to submit their applications to the Mayor-Presidency of the City Council. The selection process includes knowledge, physical, and psycho-technical tests, with successful candidates undergoing training at the Institute of Emergencies and Public Safety of Andalusia (IESPA). These new positions add to the 58 created by the City Council since 2011, as part of efforts to strengthen the police force. The Council is committed to filling all positions within the force and following public procurement regulations. Alongside increasing police staff, the government team is upgrading equipment and vehicles, improving communication systems, and enhancing security measures for officers, including bulletproof vests and anti-knife protection.
