The latest edition of the Educational Excellence Awards in Estepona saw the City Council recognizing the outstanding achievements of 21 high school students from various educational institutions in the city. With a prize fund of 12,000 euros, these awards aim to commend students who have excelled academically. Mayor José María García Urbano presented the awards to the deserving recipients, commending their dedication and hard work in achieving top grades. He encouraged the students to value perseverance and determination as key qualities that will serve them well in their future academic and professional endeavors. The mayor emphasized the importance of being prepared for the future to create environments where values and professionalism are paramount. The awards were distributed among students from IES Mar de Alborán, IES Monterroso, IES Mediterráneo, Colegio Patrocinio San José, Colegio Atalaya, and Colegio Diocesano Juan XXIII, based on their academic performance. Each school director provided a list of top achievers based on their grades, leading to the selection of the winners. The recipients included students like Martina Pella Chiaverano, Cristina Ramírez Partal, Álvaro Torralbo González, Paula Guerrero Mena, and Nicolas Mancheño Razumov, among others.
