During the summer vacation period, the municipal government is carrying out more than a hundred interventions including painting, locksmith work, carpentry, plumbing, construction, and gardening in schools, kindergartens, and adult centers. These actions are being coordinated by the Children and Education department, with the aim of maximizing efficiency and minimizing disruption by utilizing the absence of students. The total investment for this summer’s school improvement projects exceeds 250,000 euros, with works ranging from installing safety flooring to painting classrooms and common areas. In addition to specific tasks at each school, a comprehensive maintenance program is being implemented to address electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and gardening needs. By the time the new school year begins, all schools in Estepona will be in optimal condition thanks to these extensive efforts.
