The forthcoming event, scheduled for Friday, September 26 at 9:30 p.m., aims to support the Spanish Association Against Cancer. Estepona’s City Council has announced that the Felipe VI Auditorium will be the venue for the unveiling of the album ‘Essence of WOMAN’ on Friday, September 26 at 21:30. This album, curated by the Unicorn Association, showcases a collection of film music performed exclusively by women, spanning eight decades of cinematic history. From the classic ‘Sighs of Spain’ in 1939 to the modern ‘Aladdin’ in 2019, the album features timeless melodies like ‘Moonriver’ from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, ‘Lady Marmelade’ from Moulin Rouge, tunes from ‘Cabaret’, the iconic ‘Ojos verdes’ by Concha Piquer, and Barbara Streisand’s rendition of ‘Evergreen’ from ‘A Star is Born’, among others. Local talents such as singer and actress Ana Fargas from Estepona, singer-songwriter Virginia Alexandre from Malaga, actress-singer-dancer Juana Escribano, actress Candela Vergara from Estepona, and singer La Negra Mayté from Marbella bring these songs to life. Tickets for the grand album presentation event (15 € + booking fee) are available for purchase on enterticket.es, with a complimentary ‘Essence of WOMAN’ CD included with each ticket. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Estepona.
