The Municipality of Estepona is organizing a workshop on flamenco dance with Alberto Sellés, a promising young dancer in the current flamenco scene. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on October 3 at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center. This workshop is part of the Library of Contemporary Cultures’ program. Alberto Sellés, born in San Fernando in 1991, will lead the workshop titled ‘The movement is spirit: introduction to flamenco dance’ at 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Cultural Center. The Municipality aims to bring different artistic disciplines to the citizens and encourage active participation in educational and cultural activities through this free workshop. Alberto Sellés, known for his talent and international success, has received prestigious awards such as the Revelation Award at the Festival de Jerez in 2014 and the First Prize at the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Choreography Contest in 2020. He has performed with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía and currently showcases his art worldwide, promoting flamenco and Spanish culture globally.
