Theatre Event ‘ESteatro Farándula’: ‘¡Ay, Carmela!’ by José Sanchis Sinisterra

Scheduled from October 10 to 24 (Thursdays and Fridays) at 8:00 p.m., the Centro Cultual Padre Manuel will host a series of theatrical performances. Estepona City Council has announced the launch of the Theatre Festival ‘ESteatro Farándula’ organized by the Municipal Theatre Group ‘Farándula’, under the direction of Luque. Running from October 10 to 24 (on the 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th of October) at 8:00 p.m., the festival will showcase seven plays such as ‘El Niceto y la Leoncia’, ‘Ay Carmela’, and ‘La Consulta’, among others. With over 40 years of experience on stage, the GMT ‘Farándula’ aims to promote, enjoy, share, and establish theatre as a vital component of Estepona’s cultural scene. The opening night on October 10 will feature the play ‘Hora de Visita’ by J.L. Alonso de Santos. Admission is 5 euros per day or 20 euros for all five days. The program includes various performances by different authors on different days, culminating with ‘Domingo Mañana’ by J.L. Alonso de Santos on October 24. Established in 1983, GMT ‘Farándula’ has presented nearly a hundred plays of diverse genres, earning several awards and accolades over the years.
