Estepona City Hall to Provide 180,000 Euros in Aid to Social Organizations in 2026

Today, the Mayor led the meeting of the Volunteer Council to discuss the needs and proposals of non-profit organizations offering services in Estepona. The mayor, José María García Urbano, chaired the Volunteer Council to understand the requirements of non-profit groups serving the city. During the meeting, it was announced that the City Council will allocate 180,000 euros in direct financial assistance to charitable organizations operating in Estepona as part of the 2026 municipal budget. The focus remains on supporting vulnerable individuals, with the mayor emphasizing the importance of social welfare in the upcoming year’s budget. Grateful for the valuable work done by these associations for the most vulnerable residents, García Urbano highlighted the ongoing commitment to aiding those in need. Protection of the disadvantaged will remain a top priority for the Council, ensuring that financial resources for aid and social programs can be adjusted as necessary in the 2026 budget. Beneficiaries of the 2026 aid include various organizations like APRONA, Cáritas Diocesana, ASDIES, and more, along with local brotherhoods and fraternities. Apart from financial assistance, the City Hall extends support through collaboration in solidarity events, free use of municipal facilities for charity events, and tax relief. Additionally, ongoing measures include funding for services like Telecare and covering basic expenses for entities like the Virgen del Carmen Nursing Home, Emaus soup kitchen, and APRONA.
