Professionals and residents will come together in Estepona to discuss the issue of trafficking for sexual exploitation from various perspectives – social, institutional, and educational. The Estepona City Council has announced that the city will be the venue for the event ‘Raising Awareness and Social Involvement in Combating Trafficking’ on November 14th at the Mirador del Carmen auditorium. This event, which is free and open to the public, aims to increase awareness, visibility, and encourage social involvement in the fight against human trafficking for sexual exploitation, a problem that also has local implications. The morning session will cover key topics such as understanding the reality of trafficking for sexual exploitation in the Costa del Sol region, the underlying causes of trafficking, its connection to the consumption of prostitution and pornography, and the roles that institutions, businesses, and civil society should play in its eradication. The event will take place on November 14th from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Mirador del Carmen in Estepona.
