The municipality of Estepona has approved a project for the improvement of key communication routes in Cancelada. The redevelopment will be carried out in stages, focusing on Mirador, Marqués del Duero, and Montemayor streets. This initiative is part of a larger plan to enhance urban infrastructure in Estepona, promoting pedestrian-friendly streets and upgrading essential services. The awarded contract, valued at 2,951,493 million euros, marks a significant cost reduction from the initial bid. The timeline for completion has also been streamlined to just over a year. The project will address specific needs of each street, including new paving, updated networks for supply, drainage, rainwater, and lighting. Mirador Street will become a one-way route southbound, while Marqués del Duero will have a northbound flow. The redevelopment will be phased to minimize disruptions, starting with Mirador Avenue, followed by Marqués del Duero and Montemayor. The City Council has opted for a coordinated approach, ensuring that each phase is completed before the next one begins. This strategic planning aims to optimize traffic flow and service delivery.
