Advancing the Revitalization Plan for Urban Spaces in Estepona

The local government in Estepona is dedicated to revitalizing the city center and neighborhoods by improving service networks, paving, green areas, and street furniture. Recently, important remodeling projects have been awarded for the Cristobal Colon and Manuel Requena ‘Melilla’ squares. The Plaza Colon will undergo a comprehensive intervention to replace pavement and urban elements, costing 468,952 euros and taking 4 months to complete. Infrastructure studies have identified the need to renew sewage and rainwater networks, as well as adding new functional elements like green spaces and fountains. The Plaza Manuel Requena ‘Melilla’ in the Tres Banderas area will also be revitalized with new furniture, landscaping, and lighting, transforming it into a vibrant public space for recreation and relaxation.
