Estepona City Council hosts the ‘Polish Cultural Festival’ as part of the initiative for foreign residents’ integration

Scheduled for November 13 and 14, the upcoming ‘Polish Cultural Festival’ in Estepona will shine a spotlight on Polish cinema, paying tribute to director Juliusz Machulski and showcasing his latest film ‘Vinci 2’, which was partially filmed in the city. This event is part of the ‘Sharing Cultures’ program, designed to encourage foreign residents to engage in social and cultural activities within the community. The festival will span two days, focusing on the rich cultural heritage of Poland and celebrating the work of renowned director Juliusz Machulski. Festivities will kick off on November 13 with a special event at Mirador del Carmen, featuring a retrospective of Machulski’s cinematic achievements. The following day, the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium will host a screening of ‘Vinci 2’, offering audiences a captivating blend of intrigue, comedy, and artistic storytelling. Limited seats are available for the screening, so interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP in advance. Supported by the Estepona City Council, the Polish Embassy in Spain, private organizations, and prominent production company WFDiF, the ‘Polish Cultural Festival’ underscores the city’s commitment to cultural diversity and integration through the ‘Sharing Cultures’ initiative. This annual event series has previously celebrated various cultures, including St. Patrick’s Day, the Italian Festival, and the Day of Ukrainian Culture, among others. Recognized with the Joan Hunt Award for promoting coexistence and inclusivity, the Estepona City Council continues to champion initiatives that foster unity and understanding among its residents.
