The budget for 2026 once again emphasizes the importance of social programs and aid, with a total of 7.6 million euros allocated for this purpose. The largest portion of this budget, 4.9 million Euros, is designated for home/dependence assistance, aiming to provide support to around 800 individuals. Additionally, nearly one million euros are allocated for aid to various groups in need, including the soup kitchen, emergency aid, and support for non-profit associations. It is worth noting that these amounts are ‘expandable items’, meaning they can be increased throughout the fiscal year based on emerging needs. The City Council of Estepona continues its commitment to supporting families by maintaining tax rates and offering reductions in Real Estate Tax for registered residents. Furthermore, a 3% rebate on the garbage tax bill is applied to residents who use the city’s clean point for waste disposal, promoting recycling and environmental protection.
