The annual awards ceremony, which highlights the humanitarian efforts of groups and individuals in Estepona, is scheduled for Monday, December 1. This year, the Estepona City Council will recognize the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Estepona and Caritas volunteer Julio Perez Santander in the XX ‘Estepona Social and Solidarity’ Awards. These awards acknowledge the social work carried out by those who assist the most vulnerable members of society. The winners are selected through a voting process involving volunteers from various associations and charities affiliated with the Local Council of Volunteering, promoting community engagement. The awards will be presented in two categories, with Julio Perez Santander receiving individual recognition for his altruistic dedication and ongoing support for those in need as a Caritas volunteer. The AECC of Estepona will be honored for its collective efforts in patient care, cancer prevention initiatives, and solidarity-building programs within the community. The official ceremony is set to take place on December 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mirador del Carmen Auditorium, where all recipients will be celebrated.
