The cultural programming for the start of 2026 in Estepona will feature the traditional Extraordinary New Year’s Concert, presented by the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga (OFM) at the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium. The concert will be conducted by the Singaporean maestro Darrell Ang, who is the artistic director and principal conductor of the Sichuan Symphony. Darrell Ang, a Grammy-nominated conductor, has worked with prestigious orchestras worldwide, including the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic. The performance will include a variety of classical pieces by renowned composers such as Franz von Suppé, Johann Strauss II, and Tan Dun.
