Estepona City Council announced that the Three Wise Men will be distributing 16,000 kilos of candy and over 3,000 balls during the Grand Parade on Monday, January 5. The accompanying procession for Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar will include 12 floats, 5 parades with enchanting characters, and a group of Bedouins. The parade will be accompanied by music from Estepona’s ‘Nostalgia Navideña’ and ‘Jesus Cautivo’ choirs, the Municipal Band, Banda Union Musical Vera + Cruz, and the Musical Association Virgen de Los Remedios. The parade will kick off at 17:00 from City Hall, passing through Avenida Juan Carlos I, Avenida Andalucía, Avenida España, and Terraza Street before reaching the Botanical Orchid Park around 20:00, where children can hand over their letters. Festivities Councillor, Macarena Diánez, emphasized the significance of the Three Kings Parade, particularly for Estepona’s children, who eagerly await this special day each year. Diánez highlighted the City Council’s meticulous planning to ensure an unforgettable experience for families. This year’s parade will feature a theme inspired by superheroes and princesses, promising a visual treat for children. The floats will draw inspiration from Asia, in homage to the Magi’s oriental roots, adding an exotic touch to the festivities. A children’s party will be held on Monday at 11:30 am at the Fair, Sports and Leisure Park to welcome the Three Kings, with magician Ruben entertaining the crowd with ‘Magic Christmas’. The Three Wise Men are expected to arrive around 13:00. In Cancelada, the parade will begin at 17:00 from the Mayor’s Office, with candy, balls, and toys distributed along the route. The Royal Postman will be stationed at the Auditorium on Saturday to collect letters for the Kings from 17:00 to 20:00. Security measures will be in place during the event, with a team comprising Local Police, National Police, Civil Protection, Emergency Services, and Firefighters. The City Council expresses gratitude to local businesses for their candy donations and invites all citizens to partake in and enjoy the parade.
